COACHES STATEMENT
Another home double header, with our div two team up first, to take on a solid Coventry team. They came slightly short benched but with a well experienced team with some strong youth players.
Our ladies ran some solid lines and worked so hard. We took on a record start for the Pythons with a one all drawn first period. The tempo was set and saw us pumping up and down the rink. We had really well maintained structure at the back and some great forechecking. A slow back check left us open to some strong Coventry attacks down the centre lane but some great net-minding and well picked up back line saw us holding on to a close score line.
We had a fair few chances but just couldn't find the right placement to finish the attacks. The ladies really showed the improvement throughout and left no stone unturned. Nothing but positivity to be taken from the well worked and super energetic display. Well done to every player on the squad, a proud home performance.
