Cobras welcomed the Comets to Chelmsford yesterday for their second matchup this season.
Cobras started strong and striking first with Stoneman getting the first goal 24 seconds into the first period. Cobras would go on to score three more goals in the first (one from Lawrence, and two from Easton) with great offensive pressure throughout. Wright made her Cobras debut in net, stepping up from Pythons and being strong to keep the Comets from getting on the scoresheet in the first period and allowing Cobras to end the first up 4-0.
Second period saw the Comets try to change the flow of the game and get themselves on the scoresheet, successfully pocketing two goals during the period, ending Cobras up 4-2.
Comets continued into the third with multiple shots on net to try and decrease the gap in score, but Cobras defence and Wright in net kept the Comets from striking again and allowing the Cobras to go on attack with Easton getting two more goals to end the game in a 6-2 win!
